SERVICE DELIVERY ENGINEER_____Funmobile Limited

We are a leading mobile Value-Added Services (VAS) and content provider in Nigeria offering a bouquet of Multimedia and SMS services on the leading Mobile networks in Nigeria. We are also the top supplier of content to leading mobile companies in Nigeria as well as to other countries in Africa. We seek to recruit a suitably qualified person for the position of Systems Developer.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, manage and maintain procedures, disaster recovery plans for IVR/voiceapplication platforms. Service configuration/Scheduling/Monitoring of Voice related systems. First level operational support to platform vendors.  
  • Liaison with project and support groups in new VAS IVR deployments. Research vendor equipment and recommendations regarding projects and procurement to Company’s Management. 
  • IVR Systems planning, integration, development, management, configuration and support.
  • Maintenance of SLAs and contract with service providers. Preparation of Technical presentations.
  • Maintenance of Application Servers, Telephony and network hardware systems. 
  • Performing the Configurable Change Requests and Respond to the client on the same
  • Route the Change Requests which result in Development to Service Delivery Team and follow-up till it is done
  • Perform the Change Request within the Accepted timelines
  • Strictly Adhere to the Operational Guidelines given by Service Delivery Team at the time of Service handover
  • Post issues to Support Team to Raise a TT in case of any issue coming up in the day to day operational activities
  • Proactively inform the stakeholders on any issues that results from day to day operations

Skills:
  • The Service Delivery Engineer must have a good understanding of the telecom VAS 
  • He must have good communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • He should have ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high pressure 
  • Critical: Ability to match the cross cultural interactions and work across with people 
  • He must display strong problem-solving skills.
  • He should be technically competent in various telecom applications and software
  • He should have good customer service skills.
  • He should be self-motivated and a quick learner ecosystem environment in various time zones.

Technical Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of Linux Based Operating systems and scripting
  • Good understanding of relational databases (SQL preferred)  
  • Experience level knowledge of IP networking, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, and ACL. 
  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of IVR service platforms.

Added Advantage:
  • Knowledge of Asterisk.
  • Experience with design, planning, testing/validation and implementation of telephony IVR and call center services.
  • Knowledge of protocols like SS7, SIGTRAN, SIP, SMPP, VXML, SOAP, GSM protocols- MPA/ISUP, TCP/IP, etc.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field. 
  • Minimum [2] years of Service Delivery or Technical operations. 
  • Minimum [1] years exposure of VAS Eco system
