Auto Technician Needed

Purpose of Position

The Auto Technician  position will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client vehicles with integrity and ethics, and also maintaining a positive relationship with clients.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Must use sophisticated computerized test equipment  to diagnose vehicle problems as well as read and follow diagnostic procedures
• Discusses with the customer as to the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
• Provides labor time and parts estimates to the Client
• Perform appropriate repairs and preventative maintenance on client’s vehicles
• Perform electrical repairs
• Obtains parts for stock and request ordering of special parts;
• performs on-site maintenance and repair to stationary or disabled equipment
• Submits records of work performed and parts and supplies used
• Stays abreast of new automotive  repair technology by attending seminars and/or update classes as needed
• Maintains strict adherence to company policy on client vehicle care and operation

 

Education/Experience

• Must have at least five or more years’ experience as a mechanic.
• At least OND in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Vocational or Technical School diploma acceptable
• Strong interpersonal skills, decision-making and organizational skills.
• Sound knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engine.
• Ability to work with electronic diagnostic tools in addition to power and hand tools.
• Valid Driver’s license
