A firm in the hospitality sector seeks qualified candidates to fill this role


Job Summary:
We are looking for a Manager who has the skills and disposition to take up the challenge of growing a start-up project into a profitable business


Requirements:
  • A graduate of a reputable  institution, 
  •  Minimum of three (3) years experience in the industry
  • Knowledge of different aspects of the business would be an advantage.
  • Ability to take on the challenge of growing a start-up into a profitable business.
  • Must be able to formulate procedures (overall and departmental) and ensure compliance
  • firm but friendly team leader able to inspire and train rookies in the industry
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills; presenting quarterly reports to the board is a part of the job description
  • Must be resilient, resourceful, set high standards and pay attention to detail.
  • Good computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft suite is mandatory.
  • Must have high ethical standards
  • Sufficiently knowledgeable about the business to draw up the procedural manuals (overall and departmental) that will govern the operations of the hotel.
  • Willing and able to put in the long hours required at the start of operations
  • Able to train supervisory and junior staff (though external facilitators will also be utilized)
  • Financially savvy, with a strong business orientation.
  • Able to write reports and prepare data for presentation to the Board 
  • Very strong in the area of business ethics.
  • Firm and fair
  • Mentally adaptable for work in the tropics/third world country,  a positive mindset to challenges is considered an asset.
